Pastor Phillip Young

Phillip Young has served as senior pastor of FBC Holly Springs since March of 2006.  

He is a graduate of The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville, Florida and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born in Canton, Georgia, Pastor Phil attended Cherokee High School and graduated in 1988.  When he became a follower of Christ that same year at FBC Woodstock, Pastor Johnny Hunt took the time to invest in and disciple him.  The investment proved fruitful as Phillip has been in the ministry for over 20 years serving at churches in Florida, Indiana, and Georgia.

Pastor Phil met his wife, Michelle, at FBC Woodstock in 1993, and they married the following year.  They have two college age children – Stephen and Alexis.  Pastor Phil and Michelle love their community and their faith family.

His passion is to connect the Gospel of Jesus to each aspect of individual lives.
